Cat Eye Creative looks forward to hosting Julio Ceballos debut Solo Exhibition “BEHOLDER”
Join us for the opening reception Saturday, November 14th.
Beholder is a playful exploration of how we use and interpret gestures and glances to communicate emotion. With this new body of work, the study of the human gaze expands into a broader study of expression, where a single glance or brushstroke can carry different meanings. Through bold color and textured paint, dramatic eyes and expressive mark-making come to life across paintings and sculptural wood carvings. The exhibition embraces the idea that what we see is shaped by how we look, making each viewer an active participant in the experience. Some pieces shift in color and appearance as viewers move around them, revealing new details and perspectives. Others stare back and confront the viewer. In the end, the meaning of each piece rests, in part, in the eye of the beholder.
