Vanna Black Solo Exhibition

  • Cat Eye Creative 1173 Commerce Drive Decatur, GA 30030 United States (map)

We are pleased to host Vanna Black’s debut Solo Exhibition Saturday, August 8th 2026

Atlanta native Vanna Black is an illustrator, painter, and muralist who bridges the gap between fine art and graphic design in her paintings. After earning her BFA from Georgia State University, Vanna developed a signature style that fuses inspired African motifs with the serene landscapes and floral aesthetics of vintage Japanese illustrations. Her work is defined by vibrancy, motion-filled patterns, and stimulating titles for ruminative thinking. Through a deliberate use of color and scale, Vanna invites viewers to reflect on their own place in the world and the diverse perspectives of others.

Vanna has collaborated with prominent partners including Hermès, Canada Goose, Sage, LivingWalls, Oakland Cemetery, City of Atlanta & the City of Decatur. She also serves her local creative community as a social media volunteer for CreativeMornings ATL.

My work considers the mental aptitude for one’s own intrapersonal development to push viewers in a more positive motion regarding self-worth. By creating thoughts provoking titles and leaving love notes on the back of my paintings are ways of how I challenge the mindset of those who resonate deeply with my work. Although my work on the surface is colorful nature expressed in a fun and colorful way, my background in design allows crucial symbolic definitions in the underlying compositions.
